Middletown-based Liberty Bank has promoted 10 women to the position of assistant vice president, in charge of nine branch offices and the bank’s charitable arm.
Elizabeth Abate will be responsible for the bank’s newest branch in Wethersfield. She was previously the branch manager of the bank’s Washington Street office in Middletown.
Lisa Belair was hired by the bank in 1987, but left in 1999 to work for the Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Co. She returned in 2007, and will now lead the bank’s East Hampton branch.
Shelly Bernier, a 21-year employee of the bank, has been tapped to lead Liberty’s Groton location.
Nicki Crawford joined the bank in 1994, serving in the Cromwell Main office, and has been chosen to lead that branch in her new post.
Linda Harvey was previously manager of Liberty’s Madison branch, and will now lead that office as assistant vice president.
Angela Labbadia will be responsible for the bank’s Washington Street office in Middletown. She took over as branch manager in July.
Marie Rearick has spent her entire 18-year career at Liberty Bank, and has been rewarded with leadership of the bank’s Essex location.
Mary Waitte, manager of Liberty’s Mansfield office since 2004, will now oversee the Mansfield office as assistant vice president.
Betty Weintraub has been chosen to lead the Liberty Bank Foundation, after serving as a grants administrator and program office for the foundation since her arrival in 1999.
Finally, Karen Wolfgram will be responsible for the bank’s Willimantic Metro Square office. She joined the bank in 1994 as a part-time teller.
