The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate in Connecticut rose 2.5 percent last week, due in part to continued financial turmoil, according to online mortgage tracker Zillow.
For the week ended Sept. 28, the average 30-year mortgage rate rose to 6.03 percent, up from 5.88 percent in the week prior.
Nationwide, the average 30-year rate rose 3.1 percent, to 5.96 percent from 5.78 percent the week before.
