Hartford Investment Management Co., a subsidiary of The Hartford Financial Services Group, has named Greg McGreevey chief investment officer for insurance portfolios.

McGreevey joined the firm Aug. 25 from ING Investment Management and reports to David Znamierowski, president of Hartford Investment Management Co.

In his new role, McGreevey will oversee the general account portfolio management team, with a focus on risk management and investment process. In addition, he will lead the capital markets team and commercial mortgage, asset-backed securities and private sectors, the company said.
