After leaving Hartford-based Phoenix Investment Partners to join Prudential Retirement, Francis G. Waltman has returned to Phoenix to serve as senior vice president, product management and development.

Waltman will report to George R. Aylward, Phoenix Investment Partners’ president.

It has been previously announced that Phoenix Investment Partners will be spun off to shareholders of The Phoenix Cos., its parent company, and be re-branded as Virtus Investment Partners.

Waltman served as head of Prudential’s investment products team. He had previously been with Phoenix for 15 years, most recently as senior vice president, product development and management.
