L-3 Communications, a New York-based defense and telecom firm, has leased 216,010 square feet of industrial space at 2 Nemco Way in Ayer.

The Boston office of CB Richard Ellis represented the landlord, Equity Industrial Partners of Needham in the transaction. Cushman & Wakefield represented L-3 Communications.

L-3 will reportedly move two divisions, WOlf Coach of Auburn and Essco of Concord, and more than 200 jobs to the new site, which has been vacant since 2004.
