UBS Financial Services has opened a new office in Rockland.

The new location at 1099 Hingham St. expands UBS's Bay State presence onto the South Shore. The firm already has offices in 10 towns and cities across the state.

The opening was prompted by growth in the area investor base and by the choice of financial advisors to join UBS from other South Shore firms, said Pete Landry, manager of the Rockland office.
