Indianapolis real estate company Simon Property Group, which operates 14 malls across Massachusetts, has reported net income of $76.6 million for the second quarter of the year, a 28 percent increase from last year. Net income for the same period last year was $59.9 million.

On a diluted per share basis, the increase was up seven cents to 34 cents from the year before.
