MASSBANK Corp.'s stockholders have approved the bank's previously announced planned acquisition by Eastern Bank Corp.

Completion of the merger is subject to receipt of all federal and state regulatory approvals. The merger is expected to be complete before the end of the third quarter this year, the company said.
