Standard & Poor's has affirmed Beverly-based Electric Insurance Co.'s financial strength rating of A/Stable.

The rating highlighted the company's "strong capital adequacy, long-term strategic relationship with GE, strong personel line operating guidelines and management team cultivated by the GE corporate culture."

Electric Insurance is a provider of auto, homeowner, condominium and renters insurance.
