The board of trustees of REIT Winthrop Realty Trust has declared a regular quarterly dividend of $.325 per common share of beneficial interest and a special dividend of $.05 per common share of beneficial interest.

Both are payable Jan.15 to common shareholders of record on Dec. 31.

The REIT said that the special dividend is based on an analysis of the trust's 2008 taxable income, dividends to preferred shareholders and available net operating losses. There were approximately 15.75 million common shares of beneficial interest outstanding as of Dec. 12.
