Framingham Co-operative Bank and Harbor One Credit Union got into the holiday spirit recently with two different programs to benefit those in need.
Framingham Co-operative Bank’s charitable foundation donated more than $28,000 to benefit the activities of eight local non-profit organizations.
HarborOne Credit Union aided the local food pantry at Bridgewater Senior Center by offering free personalized framed photos with Santa in return for a non-perishable donation of food or of cash.
At the event held last weekend at the branch on Bedford Street approximately 100 children, and one dog, arrived to have their picture taken with Santa. The children were also provided with HarborOne Piggy Banks and their parents with canvas grocery shopping bags, the bank said in a statement.
In total, a large bin was collected with food and $83 was donated in cash. HarborOne added another $100. On Wednesday, Santa got in his sleigh and rode to the Senior Center to personally make the presentation.
