The average rate of a 30-year fixed mortgage in Massachusetts fell 1.6 percent last week to 6.05 percent, slightly above the national average, according to real estate Web site Zillow.
The average Massachusetts 30-year fixed mortgage rate for the week prior stood at 6.15 percent.
The national average rate for the week was 6.03 percent, a 1 percent dip from the week prior. Nationwide, Missouri and New York had the highest average 30-year rates, at 6.17 percent and 6.14 percent, respectively.
