Brendan Hickey has joined Southborough-based insurer Pinnacle Financial Group as senior vice president of sales.

In this role, Hickey will build upon the existing capabilities of Pinnacle’s business development team to identify new opportunities throughout the Northeast. In addition to working with employers directly, Hickey will continue to enhance the firm’s presence among private equity firms, accountants and attorneys, the firm said.

Hickey brings almost 15 years of sales and business development experience to the firm. Prior to joining Pinnacle Financial Group, he held sales and business development roles at Bloomberg LP, Granite Telecommunications and Hoffman Recruiters.
