Boston-based architectural firm Goody Clancy and the New Orleans City Planning Commission are working together on the citywide master plan and a revised zoning ordinance for post-Katrina New Orleans.
The planning and zoning project is funded by the Louisiana Recovery Authority with federal Community Development Block Grant funds. Though mandated by the city’s charter, this master planning initiative will incorporate recommendations developed during the three citywide planning initiatives carried out in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina, as well as new input from community groups throughout all planning districts, the firm said.
