The Comstock House, located at 1 Hastings St. in Mendon, is relocating.
Summit Home Builders of Medway, owned by Paul Zonghi, will be moving the historic home approximately a quarter mile up North Avenue to make way for the construction of the new Medway Co-operative Bank facility.
Summit Home Builders is relocating the Comstock House to their property at 26 North Ave. Summit will restore the home, build an addition on the back and restore it to a single-family home in which the company’s owner, Paul Zonghi, and his family will reside. To help with the move, Medway Co-operative Bank is contributing $30,000.
The new building will also include a community meeting room available for local groups, the bank said in a statement.
