Mark Llewellyn has been named chief operating officer at Marblehead Savings Bank.
Llewellyn joined Marblehead Savings Bank in 1991, starting his career as a teller for the bank. He was promoted into the lending area, and while working in the loan servicing department he attended courses through the New England Banking Institute, earning an associate’s degree in accounting and finance. He completed his undergraduate work and received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Bentley College in Waltham.
In 2000, Llewellyn was promoted to the position of loan officer. His career expanded further in 2003 when he was appointed executive vice president/chief lending officer. In 2008, Llewellyn’s duties were expanded to include responsibility for all of retail banking.
