George Metzger, principal of Boston-based HMFH Architects, has been honored for his long-standing service to the non-profit Cambridge and Somerville Program for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Rehabilitation (CASPAR).
Metzger served for eight years as president of the Board of CASPAR, and was recently honored at CASPAR’s annual dinner with the Richard M. Brescia Award. The award is named for a past president of CASPAR.
“George, in his term as president, advocated strongly for the agency,” said Gail Enman, executive director of CASPAR. “He stood up, stood out, and wasn’t afraid to lead.”
